HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF NATS?


The qualifications for each NATS membership are listed below, but please visit https://www.nats.org/nats-membership.html for more details and to apply for membership.


Membership Type Qualifications
Full Teachers, Coaches, Choral Directors, and Collaborative Pianists who:

  • Are at least 25 years of age
  • Work with 6 or more individual singing or collaborative pianist students per week

  • Meet one of the following:


  • Advanced Degree in a related field with 2+ years teaching -or-
  • Undergraduate Degree in a related field followed by 3+ years teaching -or-
  • 4 years of 1-on-1 study followed by 5+ years teaching
  • Associate Beginning Teachers, Coaches, Choral Directors, and Collaborative Pianists who are at least 22 years of age. Non-Teaching Professional Singers are also welcome at the associate level.
    Affiliate Individuals, Institutions, or Businesses related to teaching of singing.
    Student Students pursuing a career in singing, teaching singing, or collaborative piano, who are enrolled full-time in undergraduate or advanced university studies.
